Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell known as Billie Eilish, the singer and song-writer famous for her hit song Ocean Eyes in 2015, is now taking over. Since her first song in 2015 she has received 118 awards for several different things including best song in the world. She has released two documentaries about her life and her new album.
She was born on the 18th of December 2001 in Los Angeles. She is the daughter of Maggie Baird (actress). She was homeschooled, so her parents taught her the basics of songwriting.
After ‘Ocean Eyes’ went viral she decided to make more music. So, on the 11th of august 2017 she released her debut EP called “Don’t Smile at Me”. It got 360 million streams. In September 2017, Apple Music named Billie their Up Next artist, which then came along with a short documentary. At the age of 16 she goes on her first global tour called “Where’s my mind?”.
In 2018 Billie revealed that she has Tourette's syndrome. Then she released the single ‘Bury a Friend’. It reached number one in the UK. She then releases Bad Guy. It reached number two in the US and the UK singles charts. She then released her debut album ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ in March 2019. It became the highest selling debut album in 2019.
In 2020 Billie had wrote and performed the theme song for the 25th James Bond movie “No Time to Die” she became the youngest person ever to write and perform the theme song for a James Bond movie. At the 2020 Grammys, Billie wins five awards including, best new artist and song of the year.
Near the end of 2020 she released her newest album “Happier Than Ever”.
